Africa’s Next Global Hits Start Here: FAME Week Africa Pitch Submissions Now Open

FAME Week Africa, has officially opened submissions for the 2026 Project Pitch Sessions, a premier platform connecting Africa’s most exciting content creators with leading global industry decision-makers.

Designed to foster creativity and innovation across the continent’s media and entertainment industry, the Project Pitch Sessions provide a curated environment where creators can showcase their work, present their vision, and unlock opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Submissions are now open and closes on 12 June 2026, with selected projects to be announced on 7 September 2026. Live pitching will take place from 28–30 October 2026 during FAME Week Africa in Cape Town.

Exclusive Access to Decision-Makers

The Closed Pitch Sessions are exclusive, behind-closed-doors opportunities where selected creators present their projects directly to a panel of top industry decision-makers, including broadcasters, streamers, distributors, and producers.

These sessions are not open to the general market, ensuring a focused, high-value environment where participants can present their story, vision, and business case without distraction, receive immediate feedback, and build meaningful relationships with partners actively seeking new content.

A Platform Built for Impact

FAME Week Africa through its content and co-production market, MIP Africa, continues to position itself as the meeting point where African stories connect with global buyers. The Project Pitch Sessions move beyond traditional networking, facilitating targeted business conversations and accelerating the journey from concept to commission.

Reflecting on the success of previous editions, Martin Hiller, Portfolio Director of FAME Week Africa, built by RX Africa, says: “The greenlighting of projects through these sessions is a testament to the exceptional quality of African storytelling and the growing global appetite for diverse voices from the continent.”

Submissions are open across feature films, documentaries, formats, and series, both scripted and non-scripted. Selected participants will present to a curated panel of commissioning editors, co-producers, and licensors.
