The wait is over! Following the successful launch of its live music series, Things We Love is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated return this year. The next chapter will take place on Friday, April 24, at Sognage in Johannesburg. This comeback event will feature three of South Africa’s most compelling musical talents: celebrated singer-songwriter Simmy, R&B sensation Rowlene, and the series’ own visionary founder, Wandile Mbambeni.

The Things We Love series is a platform dedicated to providing a space for genuine live performances and fostering career growth for artists. It’s designed to be a full-sensory experience, combining powerful music, authentic storytelling, and a strong sense of community.

The upcoming event promises a spectacular night with a lineup that includes:

  • Simmy – The critically acclaimed artist known for her unique blend of afro-soul, Afro-house, and her soothing vocals. Her hit songs like “Ubala” and “Ngiyesaba” have solidified her status as a standout talent.

  • Wandile Mbambeni – The founder of Things We Love takes the stage to deliver his signature blend of country-soul and African folk music. Fresh off the release of his acclaimed EP You Love Who You Love, Wandile brings his authentic storytelling and magnetic stage presence to the Sognage stage.
  • Nouveaux – This dynamic DJ pair will be keeping the energy high and the dancefloor moving throughout the night. Known for their infectious sets, they are also the curators behind their own highly successful event property, Soundset Sundays.
