Jägermeister Original was thrilled to announce its sponsorship of Johannesburg Pride 2025, a vibrant and powerful celebration under the theme “Purely, Queerly, African.” This year’s event promised to be a spectacular showcase of diversity, inclusivity, and self-expression, perfectly aligning with Jägermeister’s commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
The Main Stage at Johannesburg Pride featured an electrifying lineup, headlined by Africa’s King of Amapiano, Focalistic, alongside the sensational Brass Cartel, a six-piece brass medley band. The performances also included Courtnaé Paul, Mbali Nkosi, Ms Party, TikTok star Kamo WW, and Johannesburg Pride’s first-ever DJ in drag, Adam “The Drag Diva.” With high-energy acts throughout the day, attendees experienced an unforgettable celebration filled with music, dance, and joy.

To enhance the festivities, Jägermeister hosted an exclusive VIP Stage experience, featuring a special set by Hellokenny from the USA, accompanied by TikTok sensation Kagiso Mogola and transgender icon Kaymow Tha Barb. Attendees enjoyed the bold taste of Jägermeister’s latest innovation—Jägermeister Orange—served chilled, perfect for celebrating with friends and fellow supporters of the LGBTQ+ community.
The City of Johannesburg, under the leadership of Executive Mayor Honourable Dada Morero, proudly supported Pride 2025, which drew thousands of participants marching in solidarity, showcasing culture and community. A robust security presence ensured that the event remained a safe and inclusive space for all, allowing everyone to express themselves freely.

Kaye Ally, Executive Director of Johannesburg Pride, emphasized the significance of the event: “Johannesburg Pride has always been about protest, progress, and joy. We march for those who came before us and for those who still need to be seen.” This sentiment reflected the essence of Pride, which evolved over 36 years into a powerful movement advocating for identity, love, and equality, amplifying queer African voices and uniting communities across borders.
As Jägermeister stepped into this role, it reaffirmed its commitment to the LGBTQ+ community, celebrating diversity and promoting inclusivity. For more than three decades, Johannesburg Pride stood as a beacon of resilience and progress, advocating for the rights and dignity of all queer individuals, regardless of race, class, religion, or identity.

Jägermeister and thousands of others joined in October to celebrate love, unity, and the vibrant spirit of Johannesburg Pride 2025. Together, they continued to foster an environment where everyone could thrive and be seen.
